Culvert inspection with NoFloods

NoFloods Barrier Simplifies Culvert Inspection for Dutch Client

In Holland, a client needed to conduct a culvert inspection for potential maintenance and repairs, posing several challenges. Firstly, they required water flow from the stream to be stopped to facilitate inspection. Additionally, the culvert’s location, nestled down a slope in a bushy area, made it impractical for heavy machinery access. Seeking a flexible and eco-friendly solution, they turned to our partner in Holland for assistance.

Upon assessment, our partner deployed two barriers: one upstream and one downstream, effectively blocking water flow and creating a dry work area. This allowed the client to conduct the culvert inspection conveniently using their recording equipment. Despite initial safety concerns regarding the use of a single tube, the project was completed within 24 hours, yielding a high-quality inspection recording to meet requirements, satisfying all parties involved.

This strategy is applicable not only to culvert inspections but also to repairs, maintenance, sediment removal, and gate restoration projects. The versatility of NoFloods barriers extends to various applications worldwide, from flood protection to construction in wetlands and river diversion.
